2022 Cheesefest Recap
Sunny skies and smiling crowds marked the 2022 Cheesefest, held October 1st on West Water Street. The day was filled with participants eager to experience all that downtown Shullsburg has to offer, including the wide selection of cheeses and meats offered outside the storefront of the Shullsburg Creamery Cheese Store. "It was the perfect weather to kick off the fall season with the downtown area coming alive to celebrate Cheese Fest," notes Shullsburg Creamery General Manager Rob Frie.
Patrons also could stop by the Visitor Center tasting table and try a sampling of Shullsburg Creamery cheeses including Colby Jack, Salsa Cheddar, Swiss and Bourbon Barrel Smoked Cracked Black Pepper Cheddar. Our friends at Roelli Cheese entertained the crowd by hosting a cheese curd eating contest. Last but certainly not least, Shullsburg Creamery matched the proceeds from every book sold at the Shullsburg Public Library’s book sale during the event, totaling $855. These funds will be used for library programs in the area.
