A festive event happening downtown this November

Come on down to historic downtown Shullsburg on Saturday, November 26th to get into the Christmas spirit at the "A Bit of Yesteryear Christmas" event.

This year's event line up is as follows:

10:00 - 12:00 Cookie Decorating & Hot Cocoa - Visitor's Center

1:00 - 6:00 Ice Skating & S'mores - Corner of Water St. & Judgement

4:00 - 7:00 pm Santa, Mrs. Claus & Reindeer - Kingsley Crossing

4:30 - 6:00 pm Firemen Chili, Hot Dogs & Hot Chocolate - Firehouse

5:00 pm Dickens Carolers - Downtown Shullsburg

6:00 pm Evening Christmas Parade - Downtown Shullsburg Christmas Tree Lighting after Parade; Parade & Gift Basket winners announced

And don't forget to shop Candy Cane Lane, starting at 10am!

Meet Rosey, the 2025 Cheesefest Carving

It was one beautiful day at this year's Cheesefest, taking place in historic downtown Water Street earlier this month.  And one of the event's favorite attractions is always the sculpted Cheddar cow.  Shullsburg Creamery proudly donates a 40-pound block of Cheddar each year to sculptor Vicki Janisch, who then does her magic.  We caught up with Vicki to understand the inspiration behind this year's cow!
