Made with Shullsburg Creamery Butter
Classic Buttercream
- 1 cup Shullsburg Creamery Butter, softened
- 3-4 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 4 Tbsp heavy cream
Bring butter to room temperature. Beat butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy (this will take several minutes). Add 3 cups powdered sugar and remaining ingredients and mix well. Add remaining powdered sugar as needed until you get the desired consistency.
Peanut Butter Frosting
- 1 cup Shullsburg Creamery Butter, softened
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ tsp vanilla
Beat butter until fluffy. Beat in peanut butter, ½ cup powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Gradually beat in remaining powdered sugar.
Mocha Frosting
- 1 cup Shullsburg Creamery Butter, softened
- Strong coffee (instant coffee made with 2 Tbsp hot water and 2 tsp instant coffee), cooled
- 6 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Heavy cream
Cream butter for several minutes until light and fluffy. Whisk together the powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Add the sugar mixture to butter and beat well. Add vanilla and mix well (mixture will be very dry). Add the cooled coffee and mix well. If frosting it too thick, add a small amount of heavy cream until you reach the desired consistency.
