The holidays are an especially busy time for the employees of the Shullsburg Creamery Cheese Store as they work extra hard to fulfill the thousands of gift box orders that are placed during this time, and there’s one person in particular who handles each and every package.  Meet Jill Patrow in the Shipping department, a special member of the Shullsburg Creamery family who will soon be “shipping out” for retirement.

The 2024 Cheesefest, which took place earlier this month, celebrated cheese through tasting, contests, and even art!

Shullsburg Creamery takes pride in its hometown roots, and its newest General Manager is no stranger to tradition.   In fact, the small town of Shullsburg has been the backdrop for a significant portion of Gabe Wand’s life and career, and he’s looking forward to making big things happen here in his new role.

Shullsburg, Wisconsin, population 1,100, is a small, quaint community located in the hilly southwestern corner of the state known as the Driftless Area or Bluff Country. It is one of the oldest settlements in Wisconsin renowned for lead mining, cheese making, and historic Water Street Commercial District. The cheese notoriety is thanks in part to Shullsburg Creamery, an award-winning establishment that employs two and three generations of cheese makers on Water Street, Downtown. Everybody knows each other here. It is the perfect atmosphere for making cheese.
